A student who struggles with algebra and one who runs out of time on reading need different plans. Our practice labs use material based on each student's weak areas, and we work with classroom teachers so the extra help lines up with what school is teaching.

    SAT/ACT Prep

    Small group classes, usually 8 to 10 students, plus one-on-one tutoring. The 100 hours of prep cover reading, writing, math, science and essay, with weekly homework, free practice labs and full-length practice tests.

    SAT Subject Test Prep

    Thirty-hour small group classes, usually 5 to 6 students, for Math I, Math II, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Literature. Each class includes 4 full-length practice tests.

About SQUARE D Academy

SQUARE D Academy started with one-on-one tutoring. Within two years it had grown into a full-service tutoring center in Edison, NJ, and it has since expanded across the USA and Canada, with a learning center in Ajax, Ontario. Hundreds of students have worked toward their academic goals here.

Our mission is a challenging academic environment that promotes personal growth and discipline, and that helps students gain admission to the colleges and universities of their choice. We aim to provide more than preparation for college. We aim to provide learning for life.

Chirag Shah heads the Math and Science programs. He has more than 10 years of experience teaching Math and Science to middle and high school students internationally, and holds a Master's Degree in Engineering from the University of Toledo, USA. He teaches math from basic to advanced level in a way students can understand, so they gain confidence. Under his guidance, many students have achieved full scores on their tests and on the SAT/ACT.

Questions parents ask before they call

Are SAT/ACT classes group or one-on-one?

Both are available. SAT/ACT prep classes are small groups, usually 8 to 10 students, and we also offer one-on-one tutoring. Call us to talk about which fits your student.

What does the SAT/ACT course cover?

The course includes 100 hours of prep across reading, writing, math, science and essay. It comes with weekly homework, free practice labs and full-length practice tests so you can track progress.

What grades does academic tutoring cover?

Math runs from Grade 6 through Calculus and Statistics. Science runs from General Science through Organic Chemistry. English covers reading, vocabulary, writing and grammar. We also prepare younger students for the ISEE, SSAT and HSPT.

Do you help with college applications?

Yes. College consulting includes career guidance, a best-fit college search, application and essay help, letters of recommendation and financial aid. The College Application Workshop walks students through essays and forms.

Is there a score guarantee?

SAT/ACT prep comes with a minimum 200 point score improvement guarantee. Ask us for the full terms when you call.
